During Grades 4-6 SMM girls will:

  • Take a good look at God's Word through Bible Study
  • Work together and discover how God has gifted them while completing team building challenges.
  • Unite to help others while completing service projects.
  • Work individually to meet purposeful goals
  • Wrestle with what God says about tough topical issues girls face today

History

SMM began in 1913 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mary Bauman started a special club for the girls in her church. She loved all of the girls and wanted them to grow up to know Jesus. They called their club the "Sisterhood of Mary and Martha."
Little did Mary know that her idea would one day include thousands of girls.

Do you believe that God wants to equip young girls for service to Him? Our SMM Curriculum is unique!  It doesn't have many fancy graphics, but it is meaty.  Full to the brim with creative ways to guide girls as they learn what it means to seek and follow Jesus. The curriculum is set up so the girls are not just spectators watching the lessons. Instead, the girls will be actively involved in ministry and engaged in God's Word in a way that their hearts and minds will be challenged to seek The One True God that they are learning about?
